“SSJ TẾT CELEBRATION (PHILIPPINES)”

Tết ([tet˧˥] or [tɜːt˧˥]), or Vietnamese New Year, is the most important celebration in Vietnamese culture. The word is a shortened form of Tết Nguyên Đán, which is Sino-Vietnamese for "Feast of the First Morning of the First Day". Tết celebrates the arrival of spring based on the Vietnamese calendar, which usually has the date falling in January or February.

One of the most awaited events of the SSJ Juniors, Novices and Pre-novices is the celebration of Tết holiday. For this year 2017, it was hosted by the SSJ sisters of the Community-Taller Mandaluyong on the 28th of January and joined by most of the sisters in Luzon Cluster. Some of the highlights of this event were: the Opening Liturgy before the Tet Celebration itself, the Eucharistic Celebration, the Lively Presentations from each formative group, the Gift-giving and the Shared Meal.
